The Digital Maine Library provides every resident of Maine with access to online resources that include a collection of full text articles and abstracts from magazines, newspapers, journals and reference. It also provides students, business people, public library patrons, and higher education students and educators the ability to use online learning tools.
The Digital Maine Library is undergoing a renovation! This transformation will happen in phases during the summer and fall of 2024. As often happens in renovations, DML may get a little messy.
In phase 1, on July 1st, 2024, four resources will sunset: ProQuest newspaper resources (Global Newsstream, U.S. Newsstream, Maine News, and Wall Street Journal), Value Line (Investment Survey and Research Center), all World Book resources, and the Gale Literature Resource Center.
Think of this as walls that have to come down temporarily. They will be rebuilt this fall, though they may not look quite the same!
All content in the Digital Maine Library is made available through extensive public funding administered by the Maine State Library and significant funding from the University of Maine.
The Digital Maine Library server log does record some information such as originating IP address, domain accessing, type of browser, date and time visited, and any information to prevent unauthorized uses of the site. Our server log records personal information of a remote user registering for a Digital Maine Library account. This information is not made available to any third party.
